Er gebeurt zo veel in de wereld! Wat is het dan toch fijn als je gewoon even op je ukulele kan spelen zonder aan die ellende te denken en afgeleid worden door je algoritme. Focus bij jezelf houden is verrot moeilijk, toch? En juist daarom is onze website nog altijd GEHEEL RECLAME VRIJ! En het heeft ons al veel geld gekost om dat zo te houden! Lang Leve de Play Along

Natuurlijk willen we heel graag meer Play Alongers erbij. Het stimuleert om nog meer liedjes er in te zetten en niet alleen wanneer er weer iemand dood is gegaan. We willen aanpassingen maken, zodat we bv eindelijk weer liedjes kunnen printen of een beginners-route door de Play Along maken met uitleg over slagjes enzo. Het is allemaal heel veel werk om tussendoor te doen. Kijk hebben we 1000 leden,… dan wordt het serieuzer… Alleen hoe doe je dat? Commercieel zijn we nooit geweest en zullen we niet meer worden ook.

Geef jij je ukulele vrienden een Play Along Abonnement cadeau? Het kost nota bene geen drol.. En misschien zit daar wel het probleem. We zijn gewoon te goedkoop. Hier is het laatste liedje wat er bij is gekomen.

Ron Flon Flon met Jacques Plafond. Met de meest geniale jingles die over de top uitgekauwd werden tot complete nummers. Als eerbetoon aan Wim T Schippers hebben we zo'n jingle in de Ukulele Play Along gezet en kun je die helemaal meespelen. De onderwerpen waren op zichzelf natuurlijk al geniaal, zoals hier Achterstallig Post, maar de muzikale invulling van alle liedjes was dat zeker ook. Dus veel plezier met meespelen!

 

Overige Info: Ukulandia Rampenbestrijding

Bij ‘Ukulandia / Buena Vista' waar je ukulele kunt spelen met fantastisch uitzicht, is een groot deel van de berg ingestort. Afgelopen winter was gruwelijk met immense regenbuien en we hopen het nooit meer mee te maken! Omdat de aardverschuiving zo immens is en we op geen of nauwelijks hulp hoeven te rekenen van de gemeente hebben we een GoFundMe pagina gemaakt om de kosten van herstel te financieren. Heb jij nog een paar euro liggen? Wil je een stukje van de berg kopen? Nou ja, van het gat eigenlijk… Ga hier kijken wat er aan de hand is! 

Uit de oude doos

De korte film Tamino ging in 2012 op IFFR in premiere. Els, van de Jan & Els Ukulele Play Along Song Show, houdt wel van een beetje drama, dus bedacht ze een experimenteel Opera Project. Nu na 14 jaar staat deze korte film eindelijk online en is dus voor iedereen te bekijken. Sterker nog, Jan doet ook mee op zn ukulele. Ga dus gauw kijken en luisteren. Keeping your focus is damn hard, isn't it? And that is exactly why our website is still COMPLETELY AD-FREE! And it has already cost us a lot of money to keep it that way! Long live the Play Along

Of course, we would love to have more Play Alongers join. It encourages us to add even more songs, and not just when someone has died again. We want to make adjustments so that, for example, we can finally print songs again or create a beginner's route through the Play Along with explanations of strumming patterns and such. It is all a lot of work to do in between other things. Look, if we have 1000 members... then it gets more serious... But how do you do that? We have never been commercial and we never will be again either.

Will you give your ukulele friends a Play Along Subscription as a gift? It costs next to nothing, mind you... And perhaps that is the problem. We are simply too cheap. Here is the latest song that has been added.

Ron Flon Flon with Jacques Plafond. Featuring the most brilliant jingles that were chewed over the top into complete songs. As a tribute to Wim T Schippers, we have included one of those jingles in the Ukulele Play Along, so you can play along with the whole thing. The subjects were of course brilliant in themselves, like *Achterstallig Post* here, but the musical arrangement of all the songs certainly was too. So have fun playing along!
 

Other Info: Ukulandia Disaster

At ‘Ukulandia / Buena Vista’, where you can play the ukulele with a fantastic view, a large part of the mountain has collapsed. Last winter was gruesome with immense rain showers, and we hope never to experience it again! Because the landslide is so immense and we can count on little to no help from the municipality, we have created a GoFundMe page to finance the repair costs. Do you have a few euros lying around?
